COG REGIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

UAE : The Church of God in the Gulf Countries of the Middle East conducted their very first REGIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE at the Sharjah Worship Center in United Arab Emirates from March 13-15, 2025. This conference was attended by 350+ delegates from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and UAE. Over 15 nationalities from the expat community of UAE attended the conference.

An outstanding Teacher/Pastor/Church planter and singer, Bishop John Morgan, Lead Pastor of Restoration Church, FL, USA, encouraged the leaders and attendees with his teachings and leadership development seminars. He also ministered to the audience through his songs and skillfully played the piano. His long years of ministry experience was a great motivation and blessing to pastors and leaders.

Mike & Sandy Forbis from Memphis, Tennessee, USA encouraged the businessmen and attendees to be witnesses and reflect Christ in the marketplace. He shared his business success stories which encouraged many businessmen and leaders who are mostly bi-vocational in this region of the Middle East. In addition, he shared his discipleship ministry where believers are mentoring believers in a unique way and building disciples. This couple added a new dimension to the conference, and we were blessed to have them there.

Dr. Fred Garmon, Executive Director of Leader Labs taught the “TEN ESSENTIAL SKILLS of LEADERSHIP” course during the 4 sessions on 14 & 15 March. This certificate course was the first kind of leadership training attended by the participants in the Gulf Countries. Attendees learned how to apply the various leadership skills to integrate faith and leadership both in the ministry and the workplace. This event was a great success and a blessing to the attendees who had many takeaways which they could apply right away.
