ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: കൊവിഡ് വൈറസിന്റെ ജനിതകമാറ്റം വന്ന പുതിയ വകഭേദം സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ 11 ജില്ലകളില് കണ്ടെത്തി. പുതിയൊരു രോഗവ്യാപനത്തിനു സാധ്യതയുള്ളതാണ് എന്440കെ എന്ന ഈ വകഭേദം.
വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്നിന്ന് വൈറസ് സാംപിളുകള് ശേഖരിച്ച് അവയുടെ ജനിതക പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് പഠിക്കാന് രൂപീകരിച്ച 10 ദേശീയ ലബോറട്ടറികളുടെ കണ്സോര്ഷ്യമായ \’ഇന്സാകോഗ് (INSACOG- ഇന്ത്യന് സാര്സ് കോ വി-2 കണ്സോര്ഷ്യം ഓഫ് ജീനോമിക്സ്) ആണ് ഇക്കാര്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. പുതിയ വകഭേദം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന രോഗത്തെ മുന് വൈറസിനെതിരെ ആര്ജിച്ച പ്രതിരോധശേഷികൊണ്ട് നേരിടാനാവില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞവര്ഷം കൊവിഡിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അതിജാഗ്രത തുടര്ന്നും പാലിക്കണമെന്നാണ് ഇത് ഓര്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് വിദഗ്ധര് പറയുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ 14 ജില്ലകളില്നിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ച 2032 സാംപിളുകളില് 11 ജില്ലകളിലെ 123 സാംപിളുകളിലാണ് എന്440കെ വകഭേദം കണ്ടത്. ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ 33 ശതമാനം സാംപിളുകളിലും തെലങ്കാനയിലെ 104-ല് 53 സാംപിളുകളിലും ഇത് നേരത്തേ കണ്ടിരുന്നു. ബ്രിട്ടന്, ഡെന്മാര്ക്ക്, സിങ്കപ്പൂര്, ജപ്പാന്, ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ തുടങ്ങി 16 രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഈ വകഭേദം റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച് കൂടുതല് പഠനവും അന്വേഷണവും ഈ ഘട്ടത്തില് ആവശ്യമാണെന്ന് ഇന്സാകോഗ് വിലയിരുത്തി.
18 സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ 10,787 പോസിറ്റീവ് സാംപിളുകള് പരിശോധിച്ചതില് 771 വകഭേദങ്ങള് ആശങ്കപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതാണെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രാലയം വാര്ത്താകുറിപ്പില് പറഞ്ഞു. 736 സംപിളുകളില് ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് വൈറസ് വകഭേദത്തിന്റെയും 34 സാംപിളുകളില് ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കന് വകഭേദത്തിന്റെയും പിന്തുടര്ച്ചയുണ്ട്. ബ്രിസീലിയന് വകഭേദമുള്ള ഒരു സാംപിളും കണ്ടെത്തി.
