Bangalore: അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വിരാമമിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് കര്‍ണാടക മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ബി എസ് യെദിയൂരപ്പ രാജി വെച്ചു. കര്‍ണാടക ഗവര്‍ണര്‍ തവര്‍ചന്ദ് ഗെലോട്ട്, യെദിയൂരപ്പയുടെ രാജി സ്വീകരിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ പുതിയ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്യുന്നതുവരെ ആ പദവിയില്‍ തന്നെ തുടരണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. താന്‍ ദുഃഖത്തോടെയല്ല രാജിവെക്കുന്നതെന്നും, നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും, അമിത് ഷായും, നദ്ദയും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി തനിക്ക് രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കിയെന്നും, അവരോടെല്ലാം എത്ര നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞാലും തീരില്ല എന്നും യെദിയൂരപ്പ പറഞ്ഞു.
അടല്‍ ബിഹാരി വാജ്പേയി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം എന്നോട് കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ മന്ത്രിയാകാനാണു ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. എന്നാല്‍ താന്‍ കര്‍ണാടകയില്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായിക്കൊള്ളാമെന്നു പറയുകയായിരുന്നെന്നും യെദിയൂരപ്പ പറഞ്ഞു. കര്‍ണാടകയില്‍ ബി ജെ പി വളരുകയായിരുന്നു. എങ്കിലും പലപ്പോഴും എന്നെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഒരു അഗ്‌നിപരീക്ഷണമായിരുന്നു എന്നും, കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് വര്‍ഷമായി കോവിഡ് ആയിരുന്നെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിചേര്‍ത്തു.
യെദിയൂരപ്പ ചുമതലയേറ്റിട്ട് ഇന്ന് രണ്ട് വര്‍ഷം തികയും. ഇതിനുശേഷം മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പദവി ഒഴിയുമെന്ന് അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങള്‍ നില നിന്നിരുന്നു. ഇതിനിടെ കഴിഞ്ഞ ശനിയാഴ്ച യെദിയൂരപ്പ ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ എത്തിയിരുന്നു. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ളവരുമായി നടത്തിയ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയില്‍ ഉപാധികളോടെ രാജി സന്നദ്ധത അറിയിച്ചതായും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആരോഗ്യ കാരണങ്ങളല്‍ രാജിവെക്കാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കണമെന്നും പകരം മകന്‍ വിജേന്ദ്രയക്ക് പദവി നല്‍കണമെന്നും യെദിയൂരപ്പ നേതൃത്യത്തോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടെന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അന്ന് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
