പ്രെസ്റ്റൺ : യു കെയിൽ മലയാളി ദമ്പതികളുടെ രണ്ടു വയസ് മാത്രമുള്ള ഏക മകന്‍ പനി ബാധിച്ച് മരണത്തിന് കീഴടങ്ങി. പ്രസ്റ്റണിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന ജോജിയുടെയും സിനി ജോജിയുടെയും ഏക മകന്‍ ജോനാഥന്‍ ജോജിയാണ് ഫെബ്രുവരി 27 തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച വൈകിട്ട് അഞ്ചു മണിക്ക് മരണമടഞ്ഞത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നു മാസമായി പനി ബാധിച്ച് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു കുട്ടി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഡിസംബര്‍ മുതല്‍ പ്രസ്റ്റണ്‍ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു ജോനാഥന്‍. എന്നാല്‍ രോഗം ശമിക്കാതിരുന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് വിദഗ്ധ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി ലിവര്‍പൂളിലെ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയിരുന്നു. കുട്ടി രണ്ടാഴ്ചയായി ലിവര്‍പൂള്‍ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില്‍ വെന്റിലേറ്ററില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു. മാര്‍ത്തോമാ സഭയിലെ അംഗങ്ങളായ ജോജിയും സിനിയും യുകെയിലെത്തിയിട്ട് മൂന്ന് വര്‍ഷമേ ആയിട്ടുള്ളൂ.
