gehen der Dekadenz auf den Leim. Martin Scorsese geht
in der Etablierung von Las Vegas geschickt vor, er lässt die
Licht- und Laserstrahlen wie Lockrufe in den ewigen Himmel über Las
Vegas schießen, die Aussicht, das große Geld zu machen, wird jedem
hier vergönnt.
Doch trotz der eindrucksvollen Optik verliert der Film gelegentlich den Fokus,
da Scorsese sich in Details verliert. Die exzellente Kameraarbeit von Robert Richardson und der kraftvolle 70er-Jahre-Soundtrack untermalen die Handlung auf packende Weise.
Martin Scorsese liefert mit „Casino“ ein visuell beeindruckendes und inhaltlich dichtes Epos über Macht, Gier und
den Untergang im Glitzerparadies Las Vegas.
